Awaken Your Wild

Arriving to Bangor you will touch down with traditional connection to country ceremony before setting off to explore a truly remarkable coastal landscape with the guidance and knowledge of Tasmania’s finest outdoor experience professionals.

The physical storied and spiritual landscape of Bangor holds the sites where European explorers made first landfall with Tasmania and first contact with Tasmania’s original people. We ride by electric mountain bike to the locations where Abel Tasman came ashore in 1642, allowing you to feel and connect with the first arrival story. Bangor’s private remote and protected landscape has been preserved by the Dunbabin family since the late 1800’s.

These deeply significant places remain in a condition reflecting what would have been encountered centuries ago by the Dutch, French and English who landed on the shores of the Pydairrerme Band of the Oyster Bay tribe.

Through ceremony and the sharing of knowledge Sheldon guides a deep experience where guests are able to slow down, reconnect with loved ones and access the next level present in this wild natural place.

Together black and white, Sheldon and Ben offer guests a remarkable opportunity to join a reconciliation healing adventure. Crossing over cultural boundaries to heal ancestral lines through friendship between First Nation and settler Tasmanians / Global citizens.

The Outcome

Guests will leave from a Nohoiner adventure having shared a truly unique and naturally empowering Tasmanian experience. Connection with the land and contact with adventure specialist and experiential educator Ben and Trawoolway healer Sheldon will enrich them with stories, learning experiences and a wild timeless perspective.
