The Half Day Bangor Adventure uses state of the art pedal assisted Electric mountain bikes to explore Bangor, an extraordinary private Tasmanian coastal property. Natural trails through Blue gum and She oak forests allow us to reach the spectacular Cape Frederick Henderick.
At the coast, standing atop 150 meter sea cliffs we story travel with the maritime explorers overlooking the 1642 anchorage of Abel Tasman and the shore based whaling grounds of Captain James Kelly. Your adventure returns to the award winning Bangor Shed where you have the opportunity to purchase cool climate Bangor wines and premium Tasmanian produce to reward your efforts with an afternoon relaxing in the paddock overlooking Boomer Bay.
The Bangor Half Day adventure provides a perfect alternative to our full day epic circuit. We ride out along the Forestier Peninsula on pedal assisted German electric mountain bikes to experience the thrill and beauty of Cape Frederick Henderick, returning early in the afternoon so you can continue on to the Tasman Peninsula or simply relax at the Bangor Shed to reward your efforts.
The half day adventure climbs natural trails through Bangor’s coastal forest to experience panoramic views from Maria Island to High Yellow Bluff. Cape Frederick Henderick’s towering sea cliffs reveal the stories of Abel Tasman’s 1642 visit and the shore based whaling exploits of Captain James Kelly. This epic view and the country we ride holds the stories of first contact between Tasmanian Aboriginal people and the Dutch, French and British maritime explorers.
